Not My Baby (Anymore) You’re not my baby. Why are you not my baby? Well you’re not my baby anymore. Well you’re not my baby. And it’s driving me crazy, Cause you’re not my baby anymore. I took care of you, The whole day through. Well I don’t mind dying, But not this time…. You’re not my baby. Why are you not my baby? Well you’re not my baby anymore. Well you’re not my baby. And it’s driving me crazy, Guess you’re not my baby anymore. You forget about me. You never could see (never, never)… Well you won’t forget about it. You know you can’t live without it. Not my baby… Up against the wall. Hate to see you fall. I’d come to pick you up, Looks like you’ve given up… Not my baby. Why are you not my baby? Well you’re not my baby anymore. Well you’re not my baby. And it’s driving me crazy, Guess you’re not my baby anymore.

HOLY AVENUE A girl goes into a bar and finds a foreign land, strangely familiar though, and she goes up to this guy (some jerk) at a pink table, staring into space and says, "Look, you know you look like you could use some company!" He thinks, "This is a way to meet new people!" He says, "Yea, sure, can I light up your smoke (cough cough) or buy you a shot of Jack Daniels? Let's go up to my place and watch Fallon, Colbert or Kimmel, stay up late and have lots of laughs!" (ha ha ha ha). "Sure!". . . . "Sure!". . . . Next year, she's thinkin' back, thinkin' how familiarity breeds contempt, and how she don't like foreigners or cheap cologne. . . . CHORUS They'll finally find out one day, this Friday, Saturday, Sunday, finally find out they're on their own, their own. They'll finally wind up talkin' after miles and miles of walkin' that there ain't no place like home sweet home sweet home, Sweet Home. . . . Holy Avenue! Take me away from you! She has hopes and dreams that she can never remember, the time passes so slowly, it seemed like just yesterday she was gettin' older. . . . Someone she passed by on the street today said he knew her, like it was a dream, but she forgot him too, and hours later she went out searching for the man of her dreams (where is he?). Sounds like wet cement in a wheelbarrow. . . . Mixing up coffee and tears, she spreads herself thin in the mirror, & paints her shadow. . . . Everyone mistakes her for an actress and wants her autograph, but she never has a pen handy! CHORUS He longs for the days when he could walk down those steps along her apartment building and smile, thinking how nice it was to see the Sun and how she expected him to "hurry up!" and get the groceries and cat food and Diet Cokes. . . . He snickers at this absence and takes life for granted, knowing full well its not a videotape but acting as if he could just rewind it and watch it all over again. . . . (watch it all over again?) He's so full of gratitude its almost rude. . . . No wonder he likes popcicles in the winter! CHORUS

Just Like Singing The Blues (Under A Blue Sky) When I look into your eyes For you my heart unwinds Beautiful, graceful, sure and faithful In a world so less than kind In the days of deception, you were the open hand In my time of confusion, when I could not stand What a world this is when blood's the price of bliss when I look out of my window I see the people passing by I feel just like singing the blues under a blue sky In the days of deception, you were the open hand In my time of confusion, when I could not stand What a world this is when blood's the price of bliss when I look out of my window I see the people passing by I feel just like singing the blues under a blue sky I feel just like singing the blues under a blue sky...

Suddenly Stupid (Sacred Vision) I remember your face, but never your name I lie just in case you want someone to blame Sorry I mistook you for a friend Don’t worry it’s not the last time I’ll be so easily taken in Sometimes I wish I could go back in time To the days when we knew something sublime How could this really be happening to me It all seems like a crazy dream It’s like a sacred vision… Who am I now, I wish I could recall I don’t remember how I got this far down at all Sit up at night worried in doubt What tomorrow brings, can I hold onto nothing? And find a song to sing? The words they come too slow Time goes by so fast Before you even know who’s in your looking glass Mirror, mirror on the wall Tell me who is the fairest one of all? Be happy they say, and it will all just go away… Buildings rise, buildings fall The way I see it just makes no sense at all Airplane flies, airplane crash Got a million reasons, nobody taking cash Sometimes I wish I could go back in time To the days when we knew something so sublime How could this really be happening to me It all seems like a crazy dream Or like a sacred vision, like a sacred vision, like a sacred vision….

Strengthening By Fire Well you can’t get away just for the day no matter how hard you conspire The only way to get away is to get free of your desire Strengthening by fire, Walk along the wire. It’s all in your mind Well do you do it like it’s a weight on you or do you do it as a part of the dance? As soon as you know that there’s no place to go then you’ll laugh at not taking chances Strengthening by fire, Walk along the wire. It’s all in your mind She wears a veil, caught in a beautiful life. So tell me how it is Well who are you this time? Mind creates matter Not being here now is the cause of it all So what does it matter? No sense in building another wall Strengthening by fire, Walk along the wire. It’s all in your mind It’s all in your mind It’s all in your mind

I Forgot 02:30
I Forgot I hadn’t thought about you now for ages and ages Would have finished your book but its missing some pages I used to call you the queen of denial So you traveled to Egypt in émigré style… Oh yea, I forgot why we don’t talk anymore Oh, yes I forgot Oh yea, I forgot why we don’t laugh anymore… Oh yes, I forgot … Looked you up put you down But I never have seen you without your thorny crown. More questions than answers Two left footed dancers Two feet above the ground… Oh, now I forgot why we don’t cry anymore Oh, now I forgot… Oh, now I forgot why we don’t smile anymore Oh, now I forgot A rock of love on sinking sand A house divided cannot stand A bleeding heart filled with love Just who were you thinking of? You used to say I’ll take all the good times and you keep the bad But I miss you most I thought our timing was right It was the best and the worst But your lips are the first I’d love to kiss goodnight… Oh, no I forgot why we don’t say hi anymore… Oh, no I forgot… Oh, no I forgot why we don’t say goodbye anymore… Oh, no I forgot…

I Can't Wait Until Tomorrow (Such A Careless Love) It's early in the morning I’m sick of you By the end of the day wondering I got through without you Oh, where did you go? How was I to know, you put on quite at show… Will we get through this? Will we get through this? We were lost in lover’s bliss And the taste of Judas’ kiss… Such a careless love What were we thinking of? Hoping the heavens above Could mend such sorrow… Now I know the anger you feel And time hatred can steal And I know that heartaches are real Can’t wait till tomorrow…. Just what did you wish for? Did your all dreams come true? Or has life made you bitter? No sweeter point of view? Battered and beaten till I’m black and blue Worried so I hurried, kept turning the screw And I thought I found myself, but I lost you… How do we get through this? Well won’t get through this? Well I know I could not resist An open hand and a closing fist… Such a careless love What were we thinking of? Hoping the heavens above Could mend such sorrow… Now I know the anger you feel And time that hatred can steal But I know that heartache can heal Can’t wait till tomorrow….

Well it's the end of the world again… What's happened to your so-called friends? The fix is in and they've cut you out… Well you should count your blessings when you begin to doubt… It was a long time coming. Well it's a long row to hoe. You can tell me take a walk but I see you running. And I listen to the sound of a closing door…. Well i don't know what it's all about… It makes me scream when I hear you shout: "you know one day i'm just gonna get in that car And drive away from here…" But you don't know what you mean to me… I've opened my eyes & let the caged bird free… My newfound faith is that love is gonna find us anyway. Oh you know it's been too long and we've been so out of touch. I've been missing you so much… Since i woke one day to find myself quite a lonely man… At night I miss your company… And the eyes that smiled when they looked at me… A hand to hold as I grow old… But that's not so clear to me… Well you don't know what it's all about … It makes me scream when I hear you shout… "you know one day I'm just gonna get in that car And drive away from here!" But you don't know what you mean to me… I've opened my eyes & let the caged bird free… My newfound faith is that love is gonna find us anyway. Yes it's the end of our world again… Time to find yourself a new set of friends… Better take it all in, don't sit your life out. You better count your blessings and get rid of doubt…. It's been a long time coming… Yea, another day has dawned on you… Take a look around, your dream is becoming… If you truly believe, then it will be true… If you truly believe, then it will be true…

Love to see you… In the daytime… In the nighttime too… Just me and you… But lately I feel blue… Baby blue… Thought I was over you, thought I’d paid my dues… You’d gone out of style for such a trendsetter We were running around, didn’t know any better Who knew there could be such a change in the weather? We wasted so much time Free as a bird in a coal mine… So much wasted time… What did we have in mind? You held your hand in mine You had me down on my knees to pray Now I find I’m missing you one fine day Do you remember all the times I broke your heart? Do you still stay up late counting all the days we’ve been apart? Remember me and you How our plans fell through We missed the bus We lost the trust We feared the worst Put all the last things first Has it turned to rust? What’s become of us? Gone kind of wild, you were a big babysitter Had you running for miles like a real go-getter How could a pack a day smoker turn out to be such a quitter? We wasted so much time Free as a bird in a coal mine… So much wasted time What did we have in mind? You held your hand in mine I can’t believe we threw it all away I’ll find I’m missing you one fine day

You're Gonna Get It Now Said you wanted, said you needed Well you’re gonna get it now. Never got the punch lines Buried in the headlines Didn’t think the law would allow. But you’re so special They’re giving you the medals So no more tears for a clown. You’re a cheap sentimental, still do the continental That’s why everyone has put you down. You say you want it, say you need it Well you’re gonna get it now... Be careful what you wish for… And the complements you fish for. Was it a knock-down drag-out? Still standing here wondering what it’s all about… You say you want it, say you need it Well you’re gonna get it now… You’re gonna get it You’re gonna get it You’re gonna get it now… There’s a part of us that can’t let go It's time to turn and face the strange. We missed the bus some time ago Say brother can you spare some change? And maybe these dark clouds might bring some rain… Said you wanted, said you needed Well you’re gonna get it now Couldn’t make the deadlines Waiting in the breadlines Thought we’d work it out somehow… But you're so enlightened Now everyone is frightened You say you're gonna make things great But look who's bankrupt Breaking out the handcuffs Hoping that it's not too late, yeah... You’re gonna get it You’re gonna get it now You’re gonna get it You’re really gonna get it now…

Borderline 03:06
Borderline Ooooh, look at beautiful faces all along the borderline. Yea, we’re sitting in this oasis, it’s all we can do to pass the time… Ooooh, look at the beautiful faces all along the borderline. Yea, we’re sitting in this oasis, it’s all we can do to pass the time… One wore blue and one wore black Follow through, no turning back. One wore red and one wore grey All these things will pass away. One wore green and one wore gold. All these garments bought and sold. One had silver on the seams All these things I see in dreams…. Ooooh, look at beautiful faces all along the borderline. Yea, we’re sitting in this oasis, it’s all we can do to pass the time… What do you have to do my friend? What do you have to do to win? We live in fear we live in doubt… Is this what life is all about? Ooooh, look at beautiful faces all along the borderline. Yea, we’re sitting in this oasis, it’s all we can do to pass the time… Fresh cut graves and fresh cut flowers Heaven with us every hour Angels fear where we feel free Look what this life has done to me Angels fear where we feel free Look what this life has done to me Ooooh, look at beautiful faces all along the borderline. Yea, we’re sitting in this oasis, it’s all we can do to pass the time…

Prisoner of Time Time kills all the romance, Time makes infinity look small, Time can cut you down with just a glance, Time means nothing at all. . . . Rumors of war, they run on time, and time gives the roots to doubt of soul. It may heal your wounds for awhile, but it will kill you when you're old. . . . 'Cause nothing is ever good enough for you! No, nothing is ever good enough for you! I said I'm not gonna worry, Yea, I'm too busy to even try to ease your mind, well, what's the hurry? I'm just a prisoner, a prisoner of time. . . Time is needed to create, but it takes no time to ruin. . . . Time is needed to relate, its time to stop and think of what you're doing! The kiss of a lover is all too short, the pleasure fades, the pain endures, because of time life can seem a bore, purposes remain obscure. . . . 'Cause nothing is ever good enough for you! No, nothing is ever good enough for you! I said I'm not gonna worry, Yea, I'm too busy to even try to ease your mind, well, what's the hurry? I'm just a prisoner, a prisoner of time. . . .
